The Kansas Turnpike Authority reached out to Midwest Foam Works to assess a safety hazard located at a large toll booth South of Wichita. Several large slabs had lost their supporting base and the slabs were teetering beneath traffic. Options for repair included tearing out and replacing the teetering slabs, or stabilizing the existing slab with high-density polyurethane foam. Midwest Foam Works was hired to stabilized the slab and within a few hours of our arrival, the slabs were stabilized and traffic was resumed. What could have meant weeks of disrupted traffic, took only a few hours.
